On June 30, 2002, Lisa Marie Young attended a small gathering to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Later in the evening, she mentioned she was hungry and, as a vegetarian, wanted to get food from Subway. Christopher William Adair offered to drive her in his grandmother Gerry Adair’s Jaguar. Lisa left with him that night and was never seen again.
The police believe Lisa was murdered, and her case remains unsolved. A $50,000 USD reward is being offered for information leading to the recovery of her remains. Please note that tips cannot be submitted anonymously.

Timeline of Lisa's disappearance
•On the evening of June 29th 2002 Lisa visited her parents before she went to the bar. She had a beer with her dad and watched tv.
•Lisa was at the bar with friends. At closing time Lisa, Dallas and friends were talking in the parking lot of The Jungle. A man named Christopher William Adair offered to give them a ride to a house party. Chris was driving his grandma Gerry Adair’s Jaguar.
•The group hung out at the house party in the Harewood area for a while and decided to go to another house.
•At the second house it was Lisa, Wade, Ryan, Jason, Chris and Dallas. The home is located in the Cathers Lake area. The group decided to eat. Lisa was a vegetarian and there weren't many options for her. Chris offered to give Lisa a ride to Subway. Nobody else went with Lisa and Chris.
•Chris took Lisa to Subway.
•Chris took Lisa to a house on Kennedy Street.
•Chris took Lisa to a house party on Bowen Road.
•Lisa is calling and texting Dallas.

The police cannot prevent a person of interest from leaving Canada. It is up to the country he attempts to enter to decide whether to allow or deny him entry.

The police cannot extradite Christopher William Adair because he has not been charged with Lisa’s murder. Extradition typically applies only to individuals who have been formally charged with a crime.

We do not know if the RCMP Serious Crime Unit has questioned him in Turkiye. Due to the active status of Lisa’s case, the police cannot share detailed information.
6. Who was in the car with Lisa and Christopher William Adair when Lisa texted, “They won’t let me leave”?
At this time, we do not know who else was in the car with Lisa when she sent that text.

7. Why won’t we dig up the yard of 827 Nanaimo Lakes Road?
The police have already searched 827 Nanaimo Lakes Road. If we were to ask the homeowners to dig up their yard, we would be responsible for the cost of excavation and restoring the property afterward. We do not want to risk compromising potential evidence or the proper legal procedures required for court proceedings.
8. What recent actions has the Serious Crime Unit taken in Lisa’s case?
The Serious Crime Unit continues to actively search for Lisa, interview individuals who have come forward with information, engage with the media, and attend events related to Lisa’s case.

We are selective about who covers Lisa’s story. Many television shows may not represent the facts accurately. In the future, we plan to create a documentary about Lisa, which will allow us full control over how her story is told and ensure the information is correct.

Yes, the police have spoken with Christopher William Adair, but we are uncertain if they have spoken with him recently.
11. Was the Jaguar Christopher William Adair was driving searched by the police?
Yes, the police have searched the vehicle. However, we do not know if they found any evidence.
12. How long was Lisa missing before the police started searching for her?
The police began searching for Lisa months after her disappearance. Her family initiated their own search efforts as soon as she went missing.
13. When did the police begin investigating Lisa’s disappearance?
The police took the missing persons report from Lisa’s parents the evening she was reported missing. However, we are unsure when the actual investigation began.
14. Why hasn’t Christopher William Adair been charged with Lisa’s murder?
We presume the police do not have enough evidence to charge anyone in connection with Lisa’s murder at this time.
